The driver who harassed the five -year -old girls gets 30 years in prison, insulting

Kota Kinabalu: a man who harassed two five -year -old girls while led them to and from the kindergarten was sentenced to a total of 30 years in prison and three rod shots.

The 54 -year -old maintained his reason for guilt with three accusations of physical sexual harassment against children during the facts and the conviction hearing before the judge of the sessions Amir Shah Amir Hassan here on Tuesday (March 25).

The court felt that the man, who knew the parents of the victims, had asked the girls to sit in his womb before committing the offense.

The question came to light when the girls told their parents and a relationship was housed.

According to the first accusation, he touched a child inappropriately between March and December last year in a car in a village of Tuoran near here.

For this, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a stroke of the stick.

For the second infringement, he was given the same punishment for having committed the same act on the same child in a house in the same village.

At the third count, the court met the same phrase for a similar offense against a second child, also in a car in the village, in 2022.

The man was also ordered to undergo advice during his captivity and to be placed under the supervision of the police for two years after his release.

The Court ordered the sentences for the first and second accusation of running simultaneously but consecutively with the third offense, which means that the accused will spend a total of 20 years in prison.

Previously when he issued his verdict, judge Amir Shah said that the Court considered the public interest and the seriousness of the case, as well as the impact on children affected when they made a decision.

He must also serve as a cleansing phrase, he added.

In asking the clemency, the defendant who was not represented, appealed to his sentences to run simultaneously because he had a wife and two sick children to take care.

The DPP Muhammad Yousef Tahir urged the court to impose a deterrent sentence due to the tender age of his victims and, since the accused had betrayed his trust diligent by the parents of the girls.

The maximum penalty for each accusation, pursuant to section 14 (a) of sexual crimes against children Act 2017, is 20 years of prison and insulting.
