Burmingham man sentenced to 20 years in prison for manslaughter in 2019

Birmingham, wing. (WBRC) – A Birmingham man Arrested for a 2019 murder He declared himself guilty of gauge manslaughter and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Ray Franklin was arrested in 2020, accused of killing the 39 -year -old Towan Lee of Birmingham on October 17, 2019.

Franklin was originally faced by an accusation of murder, but in the context of a plea bargain agreed to declare himself guilty of inconsiderate manslaughter on February 10, 2025.

On March 17, a judge sentenced Franklin to 20 years in prison. Will receive credit to that sentence for the time already obvious.

Investigators originally said Franklin killed Lee in retaliation for a previous accident.
