Special education teacher accused of criminal abuses, students’ harassment

Louisville, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) – A special high school education teacher in Kentucky was arrested following the accusations of abuse in class.

Jamison Woods is accused of criminal abuses, two counts of harassment with physical contact and misconduct official conduct.

According to a criminal complaint, the first accident occurred on January 28th at the Oldham County High School. Woods was with a small group of students with special needs when presumably began to demonstrate the intervention of prevention of crises is valid for a fifteen -year -old with autism for “no justified reason”.

The court documents claim that the student was not annoyed by the hold, but later he asked Woods for a hug. Woods then denied him, saying: “You have bad germs”. Woods then went to a wardrobe while the student followed and asked for another hug.

It was reported that Woods was in one foot of the student and moved the can as he sprayed, according to the court documents. Student glasses blocked the splash from learning in the eye.

The next reported accident occurred on January 30th. The police said Woods launched a yoga ball against a 15 -year -old student with mental disabled people and a 14 -year -old student with multiple disabilities. Both students have been hit in the lead several times. A classroom helper saw the alleged accident.

“We have been informed of the accusations that involved an Ochs teacher at the end of January. The teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on leave while an investigation took place, conducted by OCPD. The teacher has not returned to the campus since the accusations were carried out. We continue to collaborate with the current investigations and we commit ourselves in the safety and well -being of our students, respecting the privacy of the people involved, “said the schools of the County of Oldham in a declaration that faces the accusations.
